Biography
|
Friederike Welter is senior researcher in the Rhine-Westfalia
Institute for Economic Research (RWI) which is a renowned economic
policy institute in Germany, and a lecturer at the University of Lüneburg.
She holds a scientific degree of Dr. habil. For more than 10 years,
she has been involved in SME and entrepreneurship research projects
both on behalf of German ministries and international organisations.
In addition, she works as a consultant for the German government.
Her main research interests, on which she has published widely, are
SME development in general in mature and emerging market economies,
strategic processes in new and small ventures, (female) entrepreneurship
and support policies, and entrepreneurship in the emerging market
economies in post-Soviet countries in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
